The Salicylic Acid, a Beta-Hydroxy Acid, is available in 10%, 20%, and 30% strength peels with pH levels ranging from 2.1 to 2.3. It is a highly effective superficial peeling agent, oil reducer and pore cleanser. Oil-soluble and lipophilic, Salicylic penetrates sebum filled follicles and cleans out clogged pores, resulting in marked improvement in especially acne prone skin. Should be applied by experienced professionals only.

Applied prior to AHA peels, Salicylic will also increase the effectiveness of other peel solutions as it clears out the pores and reduces facial oil, when done this way this treatment is called the Alpha Beta peel. For optimal results treat 2-3 weeks apart for a series of 6-8 treatments.
