The Lactic Acid is available in 30%, 50% and 70% strength peels with pH levels ranging from 1.2 to 1.7. Lactic Acid carries many of the same properties as Glycolic Acid yet is less harsh and more hydrating than Glycolic. Lactic Acid has been found to be beneficial for dry skin, treating age spots, decreasing fine lines and wrinkles.

For optimal results Lactic Acid is the peel of choice for treating hyperpigmented skin. Because of Lactic's gentleness it can be used as often as every 7-10 days, for severe hyperpigmentation a total of 8 treatments is recommended. To maintain results take home products should be used daily.
